A European Perspective on Why Social Media Projects Fail

Why do social media projects fail?  Well folks, we may now have some semblance of an answer.

An interesting slideshow dropped on the internet today based on the research findings of Germany’s Brand Science Institute.  The validity of the findings remains a matter of question since the particulars of the research methodology haven’t been divulged, and if they have been (unbeknownst to me), they’re likely in German and hence floating below my monolingual radar!  Nevertheless, the numbers are intriguing if nothing else and are representative of much anecdotal evidence that has made its way to my ears in the last year.

Enjoy!

Wow, that was a powerful post! If I were an organization I would be asking, “How do I get started?” and/or “How do I get this under control?”
