What Would You Print?

During a recent Trend Analysis class, we discussed 3D printing and manufacturing.  Read the New York Times full article on 3-D Printing.  How do you think this technology will change manufacturing and consuming?  What other uses do you envision for this technology?

    Wow, that is amazing how simple that seems. For some reason the first thing that comes to mind when I see this is table top gaming and toy figurines.

    Sadly, if this technology ever becomes a household item, our landfills could be in big trouble. :(

    The design times of new products will greatly be improved. This will improve the speed of manufacturing. This technology will be help save labor costs. I do not think it will take labor out of the equation.

    This will be of great use in designing space colonies. They can be designed, enhanced and redesigned. This will make it possible to actually make space living a reality.
