Oh the anticipation! Before I realized it was a promo for a new VW, I thought “put that bugger in NASCAR” – somehow I never thought of a VW bug as “nascar ready” but hey… you never know!

Watch the ad again, but instead of watching the ad – watch what happens in the Youtube site around the ad.

Now this is a creative ad! Once I clicked the link, I knew there was something off about the website, it just didn’t feel right. But it worked very well and the entire website came alive.

This is a fun ad. This is thinking outside the box. The VW market is definitely not young males. The ad is deffinitely trying to appeal to a new demographic. I would say younger males. This is an opportunity to expand their market share.
You definitely want to grow your market with advertising. This ad does a good job of appealing to a new demographic. It trys to change the image of the brand.
