Do you think the ads were harmless, fun or offensive? Do you think Groupon lost credibility?

I don’t think that the commercial is offensive. People need to relax, especially if Groupon is giving money to the organizations they were spoofing. I think it would be interesting to find out the demographics of the people complaining. I know I never heard anything about it “around the water cooler” the next morning. At our office, we only talked about how horrible the half time show was.

I think this was a a risky ad. You are taking a gamble offending people. No one wants to actually believe they are self serving. It is not all about me. People do not want to admit that. The ad is saying it is all about me.
They are telling people that that they are self serving by using groupon. Is this what people want to be told. I do not think so. Everyone wants to believe they are not self serving.
There is a delicate balance between telling people they can get more for less and they are selfish.
I think the ad was offensive to most people. I think they did not take social factors into consideration. I think this ad did more harm than good for Groupon.
