I wanted to share an interesting example of packaging I came across this week. Have you seen the new “My Bud Light” packaging? According to a recent Anheuser-Busch press release, new Bud Light packaging allows consumers to add a personal message on the bottle’s label. According to Mike Sundet, Bud Light senior director, “This new bottle is one of the many ways we can bring Bud Light’s fun personality to life. Bud Light drinkers are always looking for fun, quirky ways to express themselves, and the My Bud Light bottle offers them a canvas to do just that.” The My Bud Light packaging is available for a limited time.
I thought it was clever that you only need a key or coin to write a message on the bottle. Tell me, what would you write or draw on a Bud Light beer bottle? Also promise me that if you have one too many Bud Lights, you’ll write “call me a cab!”
